Hi! I’m Hui Jie! I have been teaching piano for the past 7 years. As a passionate piano teacher, I always look for the most appropriate teaching methods to inspire and encourage my students and motivate them to develop the interest in learning piano.
I began my first piano lesson when I was 7 and picked up violin when I was attending the university. After I completed my degree studies, I decided to take piano lessons under Ms. Ralitsa Obretenova, Master’s Degree, Piano Performance from National Academy of Music (Bulgaria). Under guidance from her, I achieved Distinction in Diploma in Piano Performance LTCL.
I want to become an outstanding piano teacher and in order to strengthen my teaching career; I went for Diploma in Teaching (Early Childhood Music) under Mr. Thomas Tan who he has 40 years experience as a music specialist and holds Master in Education.
Under guidance of him, I was awarded another high distinction by London College of Music (University of West London). I continuously strive for excellence in the art of piano teaching by attending different kind of training session.
I hold annual recital for my students to showcase their musical talent and it is always heartening to see how my students progress over the years. I always motivate students to practice and reward them generously to ensure a steady progress over the time.
Hence, most of my students are young, and yet they’re highly motivated and preparing for intermediate or higher grade. It’s important for me to convey the simple and clear instruction to help them to understand the music. Besides, I always motivate students to practice and reward them
I’m conducting piano lessons at my cool, air-conditioned comfort home studio at Sembawang. Students will be playing on Wilhelm Tell Grand Piano once a month during lesson as part of performance training.
