About

Ms Claire began with piano at the age of 5. She continued learning to achieve her Trinity Diploma ATCL in Music Performance. Along the way, she also attained ABRSM Grade 8 in Music Theory with Merit.

Ms Claire has over 10 years of experience. She started in 2009 and passionate about teaching until today. She has been the Vice President of NYP Piano Ensemble Club & performed at NYP Graduation Ceremony and Cristofori Music School annual concert. She was also invited to be the judge of 933 radio station mother’s day piano competition.

Prior to private home lessons, she taught at Cristofori, Ossia & Aureus Music School for graded exam and leisure lesson.

Her experience in conducting individual and group lessons for students of different ages has helped her to customise lessons according to the needs and interests of every student. Her interactive teaching methods help students love learning and enjoy her lessons too.

Some of her students learn from her for more than 10 years, and has built up a strong foundation in listening, sight reading as well as piano technique.

This has helped them to progress well in their grading, and enable them to perform confidently for live performances and competitions too.

Many of her students also achieved excellent results, such as achieving distinctions in their piano exams.

Ms Claire also prepares her students to participate in piano festivals, such as The Happy Pianist Festival. Her students achieved Certificate of Excellences for their categories.

We engaging Ms.Claire as my daughter Jane’s piano tutor. Over the past 3 years, she has been a patient & responsible teacher. When Jane just began with piano, Ms.Claire makes the lesson fun with story telling, solfege singing etc. She also help Jane recognise notes & rhythm effectively using her special method. Jane is looking forward for her lesson every week and sometimes will request her to teach favourite pieces.

Jane passed her grade 1 Abrsm exam last year. Ms.Claire coached her for exam preparation and ensured her to have strong foundation in listening, sight reading & wrist technique. After each lesson, she will also update us Jane’s progress. We are glad to see her good result and blessed to have Ms.Claire as Jane’s music tutor.
