Option 1: Strings Ensemble Experience (For String Students)
Who is it for: Ages 7 to 16
Background: At least 1 year of experience playing the violin, viola, or cello
Join fellow string students from Phuket School of Music to form the Phuket-Singa Strings Ensemble! Under the guidance of experienced instructors, your child will learn to perform in duets, quartets, sectionals, and a full orchestra setting. The program culminates in a grand gala concert, where they will showcase their progress on stage!
Option 2: Musical Discovery Program (For Beginners)
Who is it for: Ages 7 to 16
Background: Beginners
Designed for young beginners, this program introduces your child to the piano, violin, or guitar through engaging lessons and hands-on practice. Guided by skilled instructors, they will learn the basics of playing an instrument and prepare for their first-ever live performance at the gala concert—a fantastic way to spark a lifelong love for music!
In this 3-Day Music Camp, your child will:
1a. Join the Phuket-Singa Strings Ensemble (for String Ensemble Experience Program)
If your child is already learning a string instrument, they will join the Phuket-Singa Strings Ensemble, playing alongside string students from Phuket School of Music. They will gain experience in duet, quartet, sectional, and full orchestra settings, enhancing their ensemble skills and musical collaboration.
1b. Explore a new instrument, learn, and perform (For Music Discovery Program)
Your child can choose an instrument they have never learned before—piano, violin, or guitar—and receive guidance from experienced instructors at Phuket School of Music. This is a great opportunity to kick-start their musical journey in a fun and supportive environment!
2. Develop a deeper love for music
Through engaging group lessons, learning new music pieces, and playing with peers, your child will experience music in a fun and inspiring way—helping to nurture and strengthen their passion for music.
3. Make New Friends & Experience Cultural Exchange
This camp connects young musicians from different countries, helping your child build friendships, teamwork, and communication skills. Through shared musical experiences and fun activities, they will develop a deeper appreciation for diverse cultures while learning to collaborate in an ensemble.
4. Learn, Perform, and Shine On Stage
At the end of the camp, all students will showcase what they have learned by performing in the gala concert, in front of a live audience! This is their moment to shine, build confidence, and experience the thrill of live performance while sharing the joy of music with their peers.

Day 1: 31st May 2025, Saturday – 2pm to 5pm
Day 2: 1st June Sunday – 10am to 5pm
Day 3: 2nd June Monday – 10am to 5pm
*Lunch will be provided for all 3 day of music camp
*Parents will drop off their child in the school at the start of each day program, and they are free to explore Phuket at their own leisure, and return in the evening. On Day 3, they will enjoy the performances by their child in the gala concert, celebrating all they’ve learned at the camp.

**A typical music lesson costs at least $60 per hour. But at the Phuket Immersion Music Camp, your child will receive over 12 hours of music lessons, 3 days of lunch included, with the opportunity to perform in a Gala Concert – all while making music, new friends, and lifelong memories. This is our first overseas music camp for kids, involving flights and accommodation. To ensure a well-organized, smooth, and enriching experience for every participant, we are keeping the camp size small.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What music background is required to attend the camp? Do I need to bring my own instrument?
Music Discovery Program: No prior music experience is required. The school will provide free rental instruments (piano, violin, or guitar) for your child to use during the 3-day program.
String Ensemble Experience: Participants must bring their own string instrument (violin, viola, or cello). A minimum of one year of playing experience is recommended (exam grades are not required).
2. How do I travel from Singapore to Phuket?
You can fly to Phuket from Singapore on a Friday evening or Saturday morning flight. Do arrive at the Phuket School of Music by 2pm (Thailand time)
Round-trip airfares typically range between SGD 200–250 per person on budget airline.
3. Where can I stay during the music camp?
There are hotels nearby Phuket School of Music:
Dara Phuket Hotel, Royal Phuket City Hotel, Bhukitta Boutique Hotel.
At around SGD $60 per night, you can get a hotel room that comes with two queen-size beds can accommodate families comfortably, with breakfast included.
4. How do I get to Phuket School of Music from my hotel?
You can take a Grab (ride-hailing service). We can also arrange private transportation for you. If your hotel is nearby, you can simply walk to the Phuket school of music!
5. Where is the camp conducted?
The 3-day program takes place at Phuket School of Music, with all activities held in its music rooms and recital hall. Lunch will be provided, and students will have their meals at the school café. The final day Gala Concert will be held in the school’s recital hall.
6. Can I extend my stay in Phuket after the camp?
Absolutely! You are welcome to continue your travels around Phuket after the 3-day music camp!
